Accepted Behavioral Intervention Training

Updated March 23, 2018

NOTE: The Behavioral Intervention Training must be completed face-to-face. Online versions are not accepted for MHRT I certification.

Developed by David Mandt, most MANDT trainings are conducted ‘in-house’ by those agencies that use it to meet this requirement for MHRT I.

If your agency would like to have someone trained as a trainer in their program, go to the MANDT website, click on “Training” and then “Training Locations” for dates, locations and costs.  The Intermediate Level of MANDT requires completion of the Relational and Technical Workshops.

The following MANDT trainers in Maine are authorized to provide the training to outside individuals:

A curriculum developed by Community Health & Counseling Services that is grounded in the principles of trauma-informed practice. The curriculum’s perspective shifts the focus from behavior “containment” to understanding how a trauma history can impact behavior, for both the client and the caregiver or provider who is responding to the behavior. The central theme is how a respectful, therapeutic relationship can promote change and recovery.
